Mark Faulkner BA (hons), MABP – Managing Director

After graduating in Psychology from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, Mark embarked on a career in business.  Starting out in international banking, he soon moved to the power industry where he applied behavioural science to the management of people in power stations.  His unusual combination of academic qualifications allowed him to provide a unique angle to management in an engineering biased sector.

With an HNC in Engineering, a graduate diploma in Procurement and Supply from CIPS and a national certificate from NEBOSH, Mark is able to talk from an informed position on many subjects.  This enabled him to enjoy a varied career in general management positions before founding his own company in 2017.  Behavioural Insights Team Solutions allows Mark to share his knowledge and experience gained over the last 20 years.

In recent years, many companies have realised the benefits of applying behavioural science to the workplace, with behavioural safety programs and leadership initiatives being increasingly common.  In such an environment, Mark’s background of behavioural science, business, health & safety and engineering is perfectly placed to support such initiatives.  This coupled with his extensive management and leadership experience makes him the ideal candidate to help you deliver improvements to your team’s performance.

Mark is also an approved Health & Safety Assessor, performing pre-qualification assessments to SSIP criteria, raising the standard of health and safety management in the workplace.

Mark’s personable style and interactive techniques make him a popular choice for the delivery of training.  He has a particular skill in relating scientific models and concepts to the modern workplace, making them easy to understand for any audience.
